Amanda Owens is a costume designer and artist with an infinite love for textiles and the absurd. Her artistic artillery includes a passion for the intersection of highbrow and lowbrow culture and a BA in Art History from Messiah College. Amanda has designed and collaborated on several productions and projects for Gamut Theatre Group, including Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird" and William Shakespeare's "Coriolanus". This fall, she returned to her alma mater as an adjunct faculty member and designer for the Theatre and Dance Department's 2013-2014 main stage season. Outside of costuming, Owens indulges her magpie tendencies by painting everything gold and leaving trails of glitter wherever she may venture.
